Forest Essentials plans to open 9 more stores
Premium ayurveda brand Forest Essentials is planning to add nine more exclusive stores this year to its already existing seven outlets. The company has not been able to reach its target of having 40 stores by end 2010 due to the economic slowdown. “Various malls, where we planned to open, got delayed or shelved altogether,” said Samarth Bedi, executive director, Forest Essentials.

The sacred plant that proves to be miraculous
It amazes how we keep rediscovering secrets that are actually thousands of years old. I think that these revelations are causing a shift in our thinking. Speaking for myself, I know that I now think twice before I scoff at an "old wives tale". I spent many years following modern beliefs and advances and discounting the old ways. Since my husband is from India, I starting hearing about some of these "old ways" about fifteen years ago.

Govt to promote herbal medicinal plant cultivation
NEW DELHI: The Government on Saturday said it has earmarked Rs 100 crore to promote cultivation of medicinal plants across the country. On the pattern of Special Economic Zones, the health ministry decided to develop agricultural clusters for cultivatio n of medicinal herbs and expected to increase the export potential in herbal medicine sector up to Rs 1,000 crore annually.
